This is to be a well machined part. I am using this with the FT3000 router, and the fit is snug enough on the base that you might be able to use it without screws (but why push it?). It's so nice, in fact, that it makes the plastic base surface on the router look kind of cheap. I'm also using the Rockler guide bushing set with the adapter, and those fit equally snugly in this adapter plate--so well that the centering tool isn't really needed. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I find it mildly irritating that this adapter didn't come with the router. Still, the Amazon price makes it easier to bear.

I bought my Freud router locally but they didn't have the template guide adaptor plate available and I needed to use an inlay bit for a wood project. This was just what I was looking for.
